CHIANTI 'BISKERO' SALCHETO 2022 DESCRIPTION

The "Biskero" is a Chianti that fully pays homage to its denomination of origin and perfectly reflects the Tuscan profile of this type of wine. The typical varietal aromas of Sangiovese emerge clearly on the nose, thanks also to the guidelines set by the Salcheto winery. The choice to work the vineyards only with organic and biodynamic practices facilitates an authentic relationship with the starting varietal, making it the protagonist in the final blend. It is a juicy and refreshing label that, thanks to its highly drinkable profile, risks ending too quickly. To be enjoyed without haste, to fully savor its satisfying simplicity.

This "Biskero" Chianti comes to life from a blend where, alongside 85% Sangiovese, we also find small percentages of Mammolo, Canaiolo, and Merlot. The grapes, healthy and the result of certified organic and biodynamic agriculture, are carefully selected during the manual harvest phase and, once arrived at Salcheto, are destemmed. The selected berries then proceed to the pressing phase, and the must obtained from this operation ferments in steel tanks. Aging takes place for a period of 4 months, and 30% of the total mass matures in large barrels.

The Chianti "Biskero" develops in the glass with a typically bright ruby color. Aromas of small red fruits alternate with a floral aroma of violet, while a more Mediterranean olfactory imprint emerges from the background. On the palate, it is light-bodied, tasty, and inviting, with a sip that has a good taste balance. It is an everyday wine that we would all like to have on our tables to spend carefree and cheerful moments.
