The Etna Bianco by Benanti is a Mediterranean expression made from Carricante grapes and aged in steel for several months. Its straw yellow color introduces a fruity bouquet with tones of grapefruit, nectarine, and pineapple, and intensely mineral hints. On the palate, it is fresh and easy-drinking, with salty and slightly smoky tones.
The Etna Bianco by Benanti is the label that best represents the face of the volcano, in its true territorial identity. It is produced with pure Carricante, the white grape variety historically present on Etna that has always characterized its white face. The particular climate of a volcano over three thousand meters high located by the sea and the lava soils are the basis for an elegant and subtle wine, citrusy and salty, which combines the aromas of the Mediterranean with mountain viticulture. The Etna Bianco is made by one of the most famous and esteemed producers in the Etnea area. The Benanti family has been cultivating vineyards at the foot of the volcano, in the Viagrande area, since the 1800s. The Carricante vineyards are grown on sandy soils and rocky debris from lava flows, particularly rich in minerals, on the east and south slopes up to altitudes of 950 meters.
