The Fleurie 'Ô Joie' Les Vins de Vicky is a red wine produced in Beaujolais that, sip after sip, tells the story of the young and dynamic viticulture of the fifth generation of the family behind the winery Château des Moriers, in Fleurie. A genuine and joyful wine, as suggested by its name, offers a fresh and crisp sip, supported by slight spicy hints on the finish, while the nose highlights notes of berries, cherry, and strawberry accompanied by slight floral notes. A red wine to share, ideal for all moments and all palates.

The Fleurie “Ô Joie” Les Vins de Vicky Château des Moriers is a young and carefree interpretation of the Beaujolais wine tradition. It is a red made from the Gamay grape, a spontaneous cross between Pinot and Gouais Blanc, which has found the ideal conditions to express itself at excellent levels in these lands. In the Fleurie area, in particular, it produces particularly refined wines, thanks to a floral profile that is a true hallmark of this prized terroir. Its delicacy and genuine, immediate character make it a perfect bottle to enjoy during an informal dinner with friends.

“Ô Joie” Fleurie Les Vins de Vicky comes to life at the Château des Moriers estate, a historic property of 9 hectares, with vineyards concentrated in two particularly prestigious areas of the Beaujolais region: Fleurie and Moulin-à-Vent. In respect of the territory and following the best environmental sustainability practices, the vineyards are managed under organic farming, using only sulfur and copper. The soils are poor and well-draining, originating from the disintegration of pink granite rocks. Thanks to a particularly mild climate, the Gamay grape reaches excellent quality ripeness. The winemaking process involves carbonic maceration of whole clusters, according to local customs, with the aim of enhancing the fruity aromas of the grape. The wine matures for several months in steel tanks, except for a small portion (20%) that ages in used 400-liter French oak barrels.

The Fleurie “Ô Joie” Les Vins de Vicky from Château des Moriers represents the young and fragrant face of the prized Fleurie terroir and its principal grape: Gamay. In the glass, it presents a beautiful bright and lively ruby red. The aromatic profile seduces with very intense fruity aromas, reminiscent of marasca, red currant, ripe strawberries, raspberry, floral hints of iris and violet, notes of aromatic herbs, and delicate spicy sensations. On the palate, its clear fruity exuberance, its ripe and juicy aromas, and its refined and silky tannins stand out, leading to a fresh finish with good taste persistence.
