The Franciacorta Blanc de Noir Extra-Brut by Elisabetta Abrami is a Vintage characterized by a good structure and aromatic depth, which consistently expresses the typical personality of an excellent quality Pinot Nero. The choice of the best grapes, a long aging on the lees, and a low sugar dosage give the wine remarkable complexity and a clear tasting tension. Surprising and satisfying, it highlights its gastronomic vocation. It is an ideal bottle to enjoy throughout a meal at the table, paired with intensely flavored fish or white meats.
The Vintage Blanc de Noir Extra-Brut Franciacorta is born in one of the most famous wineries in the area for the production of high-quality Pinot Nero. The estate of Elisabetta Abrami is located in an area characterized by a particularly cool and breezy climate. The soils are of ancient morainic origin, rich in pebbles and very draining. The cuvée is made from a selection of the best Pinot Nero grapes grown in the Provaglio d'Iseo area, particularly on the hilly slopes that rise towards Monte Cognolo. At the end of the manual grape harvest, which takes place during the month of August, the clusters are softly pressed and the free-run must ferments in stainless steel tanks and in French oak barriques. In the spring following the harvest, the base wines of the vintage are blended and the second fermentation takes place in the bottle according to the Classic Method, with a stay on the lees of at least 30 months.
The Franciacorta Blanc de Noir Extra-Brut Vintage from the Elisabetta Abrami winery is a cuvée dedicated to great Pinot Nero enthusiasts, who prefer cuvées with a strong personality. In the glass, it presents a beautiful light yellow color with slight golden reflections. The perlage is fine and continuous. The aromatic profile is rich and intense, with aromas of yellow-fleshed fruit, hints of ripe citrus, herbal notes, honeyed softness, and dried fruit. On the palate, it is full-bodied with a rich aromatic complexity and a vertical length towards a fresh, savory, and persistent finish.
