‘Franzes’ is one of the still wines produced by Max Brondolo, owner of Podere Sottoilnoce, a stunning estate in Castelvetro di Modena. A region renowned for its Lambrusco, it was chosen by Max as the starting point for his new venture as a winemaker. Indeed, following a successful career as a manager in Milan, Max decided to devote himself to his life’s passion: the vineyard. After years of study and research, he was struck by the beauty of an estate dominated by a walnut tree that stands like a totem over the vineyards. He decided to put down new roots there, developing a deep passion and sensitivity for the land. The 'Franzes' wine is reminiscent of a French Gamay in its elegance and refinement. It colours the glass a deep red, verging on ruby. It bursts on the nose with notes of red berries and small black fruits, revealing a hint of aromatic herbs and menthol. On the palate, it is dry and juicy, subtle and generous, animated by an overflowing freshness. Originality! Perfect paired with a platter of cured meats
