Friulano by Dario Coos is a typical white wine from Friuli area, vinified only in steel vats due to keep alive the freshness of the fruit. It opens on the nose to tropical fruits, yellow peach, flowers and almonds accents. The sip is fine, light and harmonious, medium bodied, well balanced between freshness and sapid touches with pleasant balsamic closure

The Friulano by Dario Coos is a white wine intense, fresh, and varietal, where the fruit, with its various nuances ranging from exotic to almond, stands out both on the nose and palate, where a good sapidity is also perceived. A bottle that pairs easily with first and second courses of fish, cooked in various preparations, that can be opened now but is not afraid to remain in the bottle for another couple of years.

The Friulano is made by the Dario Coos winery starting from different vineyard parcels included within the DOC of the Colli Orientali del Friuli, one of the most vocated areas regionally for viticulture. We find ourselves within a terroir of Eocene origin, locally called “ponca.” The manual harvest takes place during the second decade of September, and the bunches, as soon as harvested, are destemmed. After a soft pressing of the grapes, the must ferments in steel tanks at a controlled temperature, remaining then at contact with the fine lees for a few months, followed by bottling and market release.

The Friulano Coos white presents itself to the eye with a typically straw yellow color, endowed with a beautiful brightness and characterized by slight reflections tending more towards greenish. The fruit peeks out first on the nose, with various hints, while gradually floral touches are also perceived in the background. On the palate, it is light-bodied, with a slim, pleasant, and refreshing sip, clearly aromatic in style; in the finish, a slight balsamic sensation ignites. A label that tells the story of the native grape that, perhaps more than others, identifies Friulian viticulture, in a concrete, solid, and sincere interpretation.
