Frizzante 'Wai' Tenuta Belvedere 2024

The “Wai” from Tenuta Belvedere is born in the Oltrepò Pavese, an area that, thanks to Gianluca's skilled craftsmanship, comes to life through the light effervescence typical of the Ancestral Method chosen to create this label. The color is reminiscent of peach, between pink and yellow, while the nose presents complex aromas that captivate the most experienced noses capable of expressing its immense nuances. The palate is robust, lively and juicy, thanks to a fresh imprint that makes it perfect for any occasion.

The “Wai” Sparkling from Tenuta Belvedere is born from the union of Pinot Noir and Riesling Italico, the latter present in the final blend with 30%. The two varieties grow in full respect of the environment surrounding the vineyards, and synthetic chemical substances are banned between the rows, relying only on copper and sulfur when necessary. The fermentation of the must takes place in steel thanks to the presence of indigenous yeasts and the refermentation then occurs in the bottle according to the principles that govern the production of the Ancestral Method. The final aging lasts 6 months and takes place only in the bottle.

The Sparkling wine “Wai” from Tenuta Belvedere presents itself visually with a light straw yellow color, crossed by different shades reminiscent of antique pink. The nose is interesting, layered with different aromas where white-fleshed fruit alternates with floral and spicy sensations, from which hints of yeast and pastry also emerge. On the palate, it is light, easy-drinking, characterized by a effervescence that refreshes the palate with a certain rusticity in the background. It finishes with a surprising persistence.
