Grenache 'Roc' Domaine Vinci 2023
Artisanal"Roc" from the Domaine Vinci winery is a pure red wine made from Grenache Noir, harvested from old vines, some of which are over a hundred years old. With a handcrafted approach, the grapes are pressed by foot, followed by spontaneous fermentation with 2 weeks of maceration in cement tanks and a maturation of 12 months in steel tanks. In the heart of Roussillon, a wine that pairs perfectly with pasta dishes with meat sauces.
The Grenache “Roc” from Domaine Vinci is a French wine produced using artisanal methods by a winery founded in 2001 by Emmanuelle Vinci and Oliver Varichon, two friends united by their passion for the world of winemaking. Their working philosophy involves intervening as little as possible in the natural phases of growth and development of the plants and the raw materials for wines of indisputable quality. The label chosen for the bottles is particularly distinctive, featuring stylized and colorful designs that create a visually pleasing ensemble and reflect the winery's working style.
The vineyards of Grenache “Roc” from Domaine Vinci span about 6 hectares in the territory of Languedoc Roussillon towards the eastern coast of France. The soil is composed of clay and limestone, while the climate features temperatures that are never excessively hot or cold, thanks to the influence of breezes from the Ligurian Sea. Viticulture is heroic, as the vines are often located on steep slopes, requiring all maintenance to be done manually. Once the harvest is complete, in the winery the grapes rest for a night; then follows alcoholic fermentation thanks to indigenous yeasts in steel tanks where the must ages for 12 months.
Visually, the Grenache “Roc” from Domaine Vinci presents itself as an intense ruby red with brilliant reflections. The bouquet of aromas recalls notes of underbrush, herbaceous and earthy with a finish that hints at spices; on the palate, it is juicy, fresh with well-integrated tannins in the overall structure and slightly pungent, but balanced by a freshness that invites you back glass after glass. It is recommended to pair with dishes based on mixed cured meats, cuts of red meat from the French tradition, and game; also interesting with first courses dressed with elaborate sauces. A product that delights even the most discerning palates and is optimal for the festive family table to celebrate occasions and anniversaries joyfully.
