Hautes Cotes de Beaune Blanc from the Rouges Queues winery is a typical Chardonnay from Burgundy crafted using artisanal methods, recognized for its balance and silkiness. A white wine whose grapes undergo direct pressing, spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts, and aging for a few months in barriques. The buttery nose highlighted by fruity and slightly savory aromas opens the door to a soft and persistent palate

The Haute Cotes de Beaune Blanc by Rouge Queues originates in the southernmost part of the Cotes d’Or, one of the most flourishing and historically suited areas for winemaking in Burgundy. The winery was founded in 1998 thanks to the passion of Jean Yves and Isabelle Vantey who decided to cultivate about 5 hectares of land comprising seven different appellations. The work philosophy is oriented towards respecting traditional production methods and environmental sustainability, in order to create wines of impeccable quality.

The vineyards of the Haute Cotes de Beaune Blanc by Rouge Queues grow on soils composed of marl, clay, and limestone for elegant and well-structured wines. They are cultivated without the use of pesticides, preferring organic farming and since 2008, biodynamic farming with decoctions prepared with spontaneous herbs to be used between the rows. The climate is continental with hot sunny summers and cold winters. The harvest is manual and the grape clusters are selected with great care; the vinification occurs with a part of carbonic maceration and spontaneous alcoholic fermentation thanks to the action of indigenous yeasts; it ages in barrique for several months.

The Haute Cotes de Beaune Blanc by Rouge Queues presents itself with an intense straw yellow color with golden reflections; on the nose, there are hints of butter, ripe yellow-fleshed fruit, and briny notes on the finish. On the palate, it is balanced, silky, and enveloping with good persistence on the finish that invites drinking glass after glass. It is recommended to pair with dishes based on shellfish and mollusks, seasonal vegetables; also interesting with aged cheeses. Perfect for romantic dinners by the sea in summer, enjoying unexpected and genuine flavors.
