"Indisciplinato" by Tenuta San Marcello is a white wine from the Ancona area, produced from a blend of Verdicchio grapes, of which a part is vinified and aged in Georgia terracotta amphorae, called Qveri. Thin, fresh, of great purity and with a smooth and drinkable sip, it is characterized by notes of white flowers, citrus fruits, fresh almonds and light marine memories.

“Indisciplinato” from Tenuta San Marcello is an original version of Verdicchio, which originates in the hilly area of the hinterland of Senigallia, a land always very suited for the cultivation of this native white grape variety with a strong personality. It is a tribute to the history of wine and its origins. It is, in fact, a blend that also includes a percentage of wine fermented with skin maceration in Georgian terracotta dolia, an ancient technique that allows for a very intense extraction of aromas and fragrances. Thus, a complex and rich white is born, which combines the tense and vertical profile typical of Verdicchio with a dense and multifaceted aromatic palette.

The white “Indisciplinato” is a label that complements the more classic interpretations of Verdicchio, created by Tenuta San Marcello with the desire to propose a white with a straightforward and genuine face, capable of recalling the taste of good wine from the past. The Verdicchio vineyards are cultivated on the gentle hills in the locality of San Marcello, a few kilometers from the municipality of Moro d’Alba, at an altitude of about 200 meters above sea level. The climate is mild and breezy, thanks to the gentle sea breezes. The soils, composed of limestone and clay, are very suitable for Verdicchio. The agronomic management of the vineyards is carried out following the rules of the organic protocol, also using biodynamic preparations to strengthen the plants' ability to resist and react to pathogenic attacks. After the harvest, part of the grapes is pressed and vinified in white, while 30% is fermented in Georgian terracotta dolia, with skin maceration. After a resting period of 8 months, the final blending and bottling take place.

The wine “Indisciplinato” from Tenuta San Marcello is a very interesting white, which offers the richness of skin macerations, without sacrificing the varietal notes of the grape. It is a beautiful compromise between a classic white wine and an Orange Wine, a perfect balance between two worlds. In the glass, it presents a beautiful intense golden yellow color, with brilliant amber reflections. On the nose, it captivates with aromas of wildflowers, broom, chamomile, scents of ripe yellow fruit, peach, fresh almond, dried fruit, slight spicy and mineral hints. The sip is broad, multifaceted, and juicy, with rich and intense aromas, crossed by a clear saline trail. The finish is deep and persistent, with a very fresh closure. It is very suitable for pairing with important seafood dishes, delicate white meats, and semi-aged cheeses.
