For the production of Rosso di Montalcino, pure Sangiovese Grosso grapes are used, vinified in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature before maturation in large casks and French oak barriques, containers in which the wine rests for 12 months before bottling. This Rosso is characterised by its fresh and fruity character, while also possessing a certain structure and complexity. The Brunello di Montalcino is also made from only Sangiovese Grosso, this time vinified partly in steel tanks and partly in French oak vats. Ageing for at least 24 months in large barrels and French oak barriques then contributes to the expressive depth of this Brunello, endowed with articulate aromas of fine spices.
