The "Rubeno" from Cantina Andriano is a Lagrein produced on the sandy soils of the Val d'Adige. On the nose, it exudes juicy aromas of berries, particularly blackberries and blackcurrants with floral hints of violet. On the palate, it enters energetic and vigorous with a soft tannic structure and medium persistence.

The “Rubeno” Lagrein is one of the various expressions with which the Andriano winery delights in presenting this important native Alto Adige grape variety, offering us a version with a youthful profile. The aromas on the nose are not too pronounced, and they move gently between fruity and floral notes, serving as a prelude to a smooth sip, where the tannin is indeed present, but in a gentle and never too evident version. A bottle that pairs well with meat menus at the table, suitable for tasting both at aperitif time, with a nice platter of cold cuts, and throughout the meal, with first courses of fresh stuffed pasta and grilled meat second courses.

The wine “Rubeno” is a Lagrein that comes from the homonymous grapes, cultivated by the Kellerie Andriano team within vineyards characterized mainly by a soil rich in sand and porphyry. The bunches, after harvest, are taken to the winemaking facilities, where they are destemmed; after pressing, the must ferments in stainless steel containers, with frequent pump-overs. It then continues with the aging phase, during which the wine rests for 6 months in large wooden barrels, until bottling operations begin.

The Lagrein “Rubeno” presents itself to the eye with a color reminiscent of ruby red. The array of aromas that spreads to the nose announces fruity notes, enriched by sensations that recall floral elements, particularly the petal of the violet. On the palate, it is full-bodied, with a sip that develops in a enveloping manner thanks to a finely integrated tannic structure; it finishes with a good persistent aftertaste. A bottle where nothing is out of place, with which Andriano confirms its ability to tell the story of the native grape varieties of Alto Adige.
