Lambrusco "Matilde" is an invigorating and lively red wine perfect for the everyday table. Dispenses fragrant and playful notes of red fruits, cherries, wildflowers and pleasant rustic and bucolic memories. On the palate it reveals a juicy, slender and fresh texture, very smooth and easy to drink.

“Rosso Matilde” Lambrusco is a joyful and spontaneous sparkling red wine produced by the artisanal winery Bugno Martino. In the Oltrepò Mantovano, in the far south-east of Lombardy, Giuseppe and Raffaella work in harmony with nature, respecting its needs and rhythms, according to the principles of certified organic farming and biodynamics. “Rosso Matilde” is the first Lambrusco produced by Bugno Martino and is dedicated to Countess Matilde of Canossa. It is made from a blend of the red grape varieties Lambrusco Salamino and Ancellotta, the latter appreciated for its intense color and excellent sugar content.

Bugno Martino “Rosso Matilde” Lambrusco is produced from a blend of Lambrusco Salamino and Ancellotta grown on soils rich in sand, silt, and clay, under certified organic management with biodynamic farming practices. The grapes are harvested by hand, and the subsequent alcoholic fermentation takes place spontaneously in stainless-steel tanks, with about 12 days of skin contact. The secondary fermentation takes place in autoclave according to the Charmat Method, using only fresh must as a source of sugars, and the wine rests for four months before bottling.

In the glass, the Mantuan “Rosso Matilde” Lambrusco from Bugno Martino shows a fascinating purple color with a lively violet foam. On the nose it reveals aromas of strawberry, red berries, woodland spices, earth, and red flowers, while on the palate it is juicy and light, with a vibrant freshness. A Lambrusco that delights with its delicate fruity character and shines at the table when paired with platters of cured meats and moderately aged cheeses.
