“Logorroico” is a red wine with a fresh profile and delicate face, born from the Ligurian winery Il Torchio, a small wine-producing reality in the magnificent area of the Colli di Luni, in the province of La Spezia. It is produced with a blend of red grape varieties, and the brief aging in wood makes the wine harmonious and allows the different grapes to find the right and complementary expressive balance. Its floral aromas and immediate fragrance captivate from the first sip with a straightforward and genuine taste, typical of artisanal wines made with love and passion.
The "Logorroico" is a Ligurian red wine produced by a small family-run business in Castelnuovo di Magra, founded by Giorgio Tendola and now managed by his two grandchildren, Gilda and Edoardo. The estate extends over a dozen hectares, mainly cultivated with Vermentino and other red grape varieties such as Canaiolo, Sangiovese, Vermentino Nero, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Syrah. In these lands, viticulture has an ancient history. The ancient Roman port of Luni was a very important commercial hub in antiquity, and the hilly inland, kissed by a mild and Mediterranean climate, is ideal for grape cultivation. Even today, the Colli di Luni are one of the most important wine areas in Liguria, which Il Torchio has interpreted with great respect for traditions, striving to produce authentic and sincere wines.
The red “Logorroico” from Il Torchio is a wine of great territorial typicity, born in a beautiful area between the sea and the first hills. The grapes are vinified separately based on ripening periods and are fermented as whole clusters, using only indigenous yeasts in open tubs. In the glass, it presents itself with a light ruby red color. On the nose, it offers subtle and delicate aromas of flowers, Mediterranean scrub herbs, small red berry fruits, and light spicy nuances. The sip is agile and smooth, with a crunchy fruit and tannins very well integrated into the body of the wine. The finish is fresh with savory notes of a Mediterranean nature.
