Chona's Marani Tsinandali from Chona's Marani winery is a Georgian wine made from Mtsvane and Rkatsiteli, indigenous grape varieties of the area. Maceration on the skins in typical Georgian earthenware amphorae, called qvevri, gives the wine delicate amber tones and aromas of apricot, pear and quince, accompanied by hints of spice and faint notes of mint. The palate is balanced, broad and rich, supported on the finish by a pleasant acidity

The Marani Tsinandali from the Chona's Marani winery is a traditional Georgian wine, made according to the oldest practices of ancestral viticulture, which has managed to preserve and enhance a millennia-old heritage of precious customs. The winemaking takes place with skin maceration inside Qvevri in terracotta, a historical memory of the oldest homeland of wine. The result is a rich and intense Orange Wine, with broad and deep fruity notes, spicy and balsamic sensations that complete a palette of great charm. An unusual and rare wine, absolutely to try.

The Orange Wine Marani Tsinandali is the fruit of the work of a family-run winery, which passes down from generation to generation the ancient art of wine production, right in the land where the domestication of the vine began. The Chona's Marani estate covers two hectares and is located near the town of Telavi east of the capital Tbilisi. The vineyards are managed according to the principles of biodynamics and occupy beautiful hilly exposures at an altitude of about 550 meters above sea level. The wine is produced with the grapes of two native varieties: Mtsvane and Rkatsiteli. The harvest takes place towards the end of September and the grapes are fermented on the skins inside the Qvevri in terracotta, using indigenous yeasts. The wine then matures in sealed Quevri, in order to avoid excessive oxidation, until spring, when it is ready for bottling.

The macerated white Marani Tsinandali, from the Georgian estate Chona's Marani, is a wine that all Orange Wine enthusiasts should try to discover where it all began. What may seem like innovation to us, in Georgia is simply a respect for tradition. In appearance, it has an intense yellow color with amber reflections. The olfactory profile is very rich and broad, with aromas ranging from quince, to ripe yellow fruit, peach, apricot, to notes of tropical fruit, enriched by hints of white pepper spice, ginger, and balsamic nuances of medicinal herbs. Dense and rich, it presents aromas complex and very persistent, anticipating a savory, fresh, and slightly tannic finish.
