Mario Schiopetto 2022
Perfect to give as a giftMario Schiopetto is a white wine of great personality and character, made from Friulano grapes and a small percentage of Riesling, with vinification in steel and aging in wood. It has a seductive and fascinating bouquet of exotic fruits, almond paste and citrus and a harmonious, long and mineral taste.
The Mario Schiopetto is a Friulian white wine that comes from an intuition of Mario, the founder of the winery in 1965, in uniting native and international grape varieties to create labels with a unique flavor. And it cannot be said that, after several years, this vision has not been successful, considering that the Mario Schiopetto is a product that, vintage after vintage, continues to confirm itself at the top of the main national industry guides. A bottle of excellent quality, which offers a nice ease of drinking without hiding its strong and never submissive character, marked by a pronounced minerality.
The Mario Schiopetto is a white wine that the Schiopetto winery produces from a native grape variety, the Friulano, and a small part of Riesling grapes. Both contribute to the creation of the final mass and are cultivated according to criteria and practices that aim to minimize the impact of production on the environment. The bunches, carefully selected during manual harvesting, after vinification move on to the aging phase, which is carried out first in steel for 30 months, and then for 9 months in tonneau.
The Mario Schiopetto is a wine that in the glass presents itself with a straw yellow color, crossed by reflections that recall the color of emerald. Exotic fruit and citrus are the notes that are first perceived on the nose, and that, little by little, give way to briny and floral touches. On the palate, the sip is organized on a significant mineral structure, which helps to make the sip of personality, also thanks to a remarkable persistence of the finish. A bottle that deserves more than one tasting and that confirms the great potential of the Friulian terroir in the production of white wines.
