Moscato Secco Frizzante 'Wai' Tenuta Belvedere 2024

The Dry Sparkling Moscato from Tenuta Belvere is a pleasant and fresh refermented wine from Oltrepò that belongs to the "Wai" line, a series of simple and drinkable sparkling wines with a strong territorial imprint. Gianluca Cabrini, known as "Il Conte", is the owner of this small artisanal reality located on the gentle hills of Montacalvo Versiggia, in the province of Pavia. In 2013, he decided to acquire an old company and renovate it, immediately imposing his natural philosophy. At first, he decided to adopt organic and biodynamic practices in the vineyard, without using synthetic products and herbicides. In the winery, he decided to focus on non-interventionism, relying on indigenous yeasts and abolishing any invasive processes such as filtration, clarification, and stabilization. The result speaks of wines deeply connected to local tradition and strongly tied to their place of origin. The Moscato "Wai", although made from a grape variety not particularly widespread in Oltrepò Pavese, still manages to tell the story of this fascinating terroir.

The Sparkling Moscato "Wai" is a dry and lively wine that comes from the homonymous grapes in purity. The latter are hand-harvested and arrive immediately in the cellar to be vinified. The must obtained from pressing the grapes is fermented thanks to the indigenous yeasts naturally present on the skins in steel. This is followed by a second fermentation in the bottle, during which the bubbles will develop.

The "Wai" Dry Sparkling Moscato has a slightly hazy straw-golden color wrapped in a lively and persistent bubble. It presents a very aromatic olfactory profile, with sensations of yellow fruit, citrus zest, orange blossom, and orange flowers, with a closing note of yeasty brioche. The sip flows with great agility, carefreeness, and joy, it is luscious and juicy, marking a very pronounced aromatic freshness. As an aperitif or for everyday dining, it is a sparkling wine with an irresistible drinkability!
