The Pinot Noir "Pomino" by Frescobaldi is a red wine with an elegant, balanced, and full-bodied profile, matured for at least 15 months in barrique. It reveals a clean and evolved aromatic profile, with pronounced fruity notes of forest berries, sour cherry, and cherry, enriched by light spicy notes, toasted aromas, and hints of coffee and tobacco. The sip reveals a well-defined, compact, and muscular structure, with appreciable freshness and masterfully managed tannins.

A true institution, the Frescobaldi family is a historic Italian winery, among the oldest documented in history, with its foundation dating back to 1300. A dynastic story, marked by acquisitions and the consolidation of a style that has become the hallmark of the winery, not only concerning the quality of the liquids. The vast estates of nearly 1000 hectares extend throughout the Tuscan territory, among enchanting landscapes populated by castles, ancient residences, and of course vineyards, where both native and international grape varieties coexist. The search for balance, elegance, and cohesion has always distinguished Frescobaldi wines, managing to conquer the whole world.
The red "Pomino" is obtained from a pure expression of Pinot Nero, coming from the estate's vineyards. In the vineyard, utmost attention is paid to the phenolic ripeness of the grapes, so that harvesting is done only when perfectly ripe.grapes, in order to harvest only when perfectly ripe. After careful selection of the bunches, alcoholic fermentation takes place in 60 hl conical oak vats with skin maceration for 2 weeks and subsequent malolactic fermentation in French oak barriques. The liquid ages for 15 months always in barriques.
The Frescobaldi “Pomino” presents itself in the glass with a ruby dress edged with garnet reflections. Defined and varied nose, characterized by hints of sour cherry, berries, cocoa, coffee, and cinnamon, for a profile that combines richness of fruit and sweet notes. The sip is elegant and measured, with a soft texture and freshness that pleasantly returns in the finish. Representative.
