The Porto Tawny W. & J. Graham's aged 10 Years is a fortified wine produced with typical red grape varieties grown for centuries in the famous Portuguese region of Douro. It is aged in barrels of various sizes, which enrich its fruity profile with more evolved aromas of dried fruit and elegant toasted notes. It is a Porto classy, intense, smooth, deep and with a very persistent taste.
The Tawny 10 Years is a Porto produced by the W. & J. Graham's winery, a family-run business that produces excellent wines while keeping alive the oldest artisanal traditions. The estate covers a total of 7 hectares, divided into 5 plots managed under organic farming: Quinta dos Malvedos, Quinta do Tua, Quinta das Lages, Quinta da Vila Velha and Quinta do Vale de Malhadas. The vines are located in the best high hill areas of the Douro Valley and are immersed in a still wild and unspoiled natural context. At the end of the harvest, the red winemaking of the grapes from the various grape varieties used for the production of Tawny follows: Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Tinto Cao and Sousao. The wines are then transferred to Vila Nova de Gaia where they are aged in the temperate climate of the Atlantic Ocean for 10 years, first in large barrels, then in smaller barrels, which favor the oxidation process of the wines and the development of intense and elegant tertiary aromas.
