The Tawny Port from Quinta do Noval is a soft and intense fortified wine, aged for 4 years in oak barrels. Alongside the notes of red fruit, more complex and profound aromas typical of long aging in wood emerge. The bouquet already expresses interesting evolutionary hints that lead to elegant spicy, toasted, and noble wood aromas. The Tawny Port is complex and seductive, presenting a warm and velvety sip that immediately captivates with its richness and great aromatic persistence.

The Ruby Port originates from the estate of the famous Portuguese winery Quinta do Noval, located in Vila Nova de Gaia in the Douro Valley. The vineyards are cultivated at an altitude between 100 and 500 meters, in the Pinhão area, near Cima Corgo, with the typical varieties of the territory, especially: touriga nacional, touriga franca, tinta roriz, tinto cão, tinta barroca, tinta francisca, sousão. The splendid sunny exposures, the presence of the river, which acts as a natural thermal regulator, and the suitable soils composed of schist and clay, create a perfect habitat for bring the red berry vines to maturity. The grapes are subjected to traditional red winemaking, but fermentation is stopped before the yeasts consume all the sugars by adding brandy to the must. The Tawny Quinta do Noval is a Port that already allows one to delve into the fascinating universe of this Portuguese fortified wine and its aromatic evolutions. Four years of maturation in wood have produced a Port capable of seducing with the silky softness of the sip, intense and long. In the glass, it displays a garnet color with brilliant reflections. The bouquet opens with aromas of ripe red fruit, giving way to hints of dried fruit, toasted almond, coffee, spices, vanilla, dark chocolate, cocoa, and woody memories. On the palate, it has a good structure, with remarkable intensity and complexity. The finish is long and persistent.
