The Prosecco Rosé Brut by Bosco del Merlo is a light and lively sparkling wine, made from Glera and Pinot Noir grapes that give it a pleasant aromatic texture. In the glass, it presents a bright pink color with fine perlage, accompanied by a fresh and fragrant floral bouquet. The sip is easy-drinking, with a pleasant mineral vein.
The Prosecco Rosé Brut, produced by the Bosco del Merlo winery, is the novelty of the year. A new version of Prosecco, which stands alongside the historic one, to ride the international success that rosé wines are experiencing all over the world. To the Glera, the typical grape of the area, a small percentage of Pinot Nero is added, which makes the wine more structured and rich in terms of aroma. The sparkling process using the Martinotti or Charmat method preserves the lively fragrance of the varietal aromas, offering a pleasantly fresh and immediate tasting experience.
The Prosecco Rosé Brut sparkling wine is born in a family reality that has always been committed to producing wines with a territorial face. Bosco del Merlo manages a property of about 100 hectares in the countryside of Annone Veneto, in the eastern part of the region. The Glera and Pinot Nero grapes are harvested at different times depending on ripeness and processed separately. After soft pressing, the Glera is vinified in white in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of about 15 °C, while the small percentage of Pinot Nero is vinified in red, in order to bring color and aromas to the cuvée. After a few months of aging, the assembly is created in autoclave to proceed with the second fermentation according to the Martinotti or Charmat method, with an overall process duration of about 60 days, before proceeding to bottling.
The Prosecco Brut Rosé, made by Bosco del Merlo, is a label that well represents the qualities of Glera and Pinot Nero, highlighting the natural predisposition of the two varieties to sparkling wine production. To the eye, it presents a bright light pink color with brilliant reflections. The perlage is fine and continuous. Floral and delicate, it reveals subtle scents and aromas of raspberry, wild strawberries, citrus, and fragrant white-fleshed fruit to the nose. Harmonious and soft, it conquers the palate with a pleasantly fruity and savory sip, leading to a balanced and fresh finish. It is a sparkling wine simple and light, perfect to enjoy at aperitif time or to accompany seafood appetizers based on shellfish or salmon.
