The Riesling Mosel Auslese "Brauneberger Juffer Sonnenuhr" by Fritz Haag is an elegant, long-lived wine, with great body and complexity, produced from overripe grapes and endowed with a significant residual sugar. Of great aromatic richness, which includes nuances of exotic fruit balanced by good minerality and a pleasant freshness, typical of the terroir

The Riesling Mosel Auslese “Brauneberger Juffer Sonnenuhr” by Fritz Haag is one of the labels classified in the collection of Prädikatswein, which includes superior quality wines. The Riesling is presented in the Auslese version, made only with very ripe and carefully selected bunches, capable of providing remarkable richness and aromatic concentration. Its perfect taste balance is due to the skillful balancing between the typical freshness of the grape variety and a residual sugar that softens the excesses, making the sip more harmonious and pleasant.

The “Brauneberger Juffer Sonnenuhr” Riesling Mosel Auslese is produced by one of the historic wineries of the Moselle region. The origins of the Fritz Haag estate date back to the early 17th century and even today it has maintained a family and artisanal dimension, which ensures a production of the highest quality level. The Riesling vineyards enjoy a splendid sunny position, within a well-protected basin, characterized by a warm microclimate ideal for a perfect ripening of the grapes.  The slate-rich soils also accumulate heat during the day and release it to the plants at night, mitigating the local harsh temperatures. The bunches are carefully selected in the vineyard and then gently pressed. The must ferments spontaneously with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel tanks. The wine matures in stainless steel vats, except for a small percentage that ages in oak barrels. The two masses are then blended before proceeding to bottling.

Fritz Haag’s Riesling Mosel Auslese “Brauneberger Juffer Sonnenuhr” reveals in the glass the centuries-old experience of a great producer, who knows very well the characteristics of the terroir and the aromatic profile of the great northern European grape variety. In appearance, it presents a bright light yellow color. Elegant and refined, it opens to the nose with floral scents, notes of lime and citrus peel, aromas of white-fleshed fruit, peach, hints of tropical fruit, and touches of wet stone. Clear and taut, it expresses a harmonious and rich fruit, supported by a vibrant
