The luminous ruby red colour introduces aromas of red berry fruit and flowers while the palate enjoys a juicy, fresh, long and balanced sip
The Rosso “Galets de la Condamine” from Domaine Arsac originates from Saint-Jean-le-Cantenier in the southeastern region of France. Gaston Arsac founded his winery in 1945 and, with the help of his wife Teresa, purchased the small Chaumette Farm, where the land was dedicated to cattle breeding and mixed farming. Although the land proved unsuitable for grape cultivation, Gaston did not give up and soon grew a lush vineyard in this area, leading to the establishment of the winery that is now managed by the heirs of Grandpa Gaston, who daily carry on his work.
The Grenache and Syrah grapes for the Rosso “Galets de la Condamine” from Domaine Arsac come from vineyards cultivated on clay and limestone soils that impart freshness to the final products. In the vineyard, intervention is kept to a minimum and is managed entirely with horses; the compost used to fertilize the soil comes entirely from the internal cattle farms, and the soil cover is constantly monitored to ensure a lush ecosystem surrounding the vineyard. The grape harvest is conducted manually; the must ferments spontaneously thanks to indigenous yeasts in cement and ages for 6 months in French oak barrels.
The Rosso “Galets de la Condamine” from Domaine Arsac presents itself in the glass as a ruby red with brilliant reflections; the aromas recall forest red fruits with some spicy notes on the finish, all very delicate and enveloping. On the palate, it has a fresh, juicy structure with fine tannins; the finish is long for a pleasant drink. It pairs perfectly with cured meats, grilled red meat, and stews; excellent also with first courses. A pleasant product to enjoy during summer barbecues in the countryside with lifelong friends or at family festive tables, to savor all the tradition of a land that reflects the meticulous and dedicated work of a family that has devoted its activity to respecting the land and its potential.
