Rosso Riserva 'Egille' Pucciarella 2022

The Trasimeno Riserva 'Egille' by Pucciarella is a structured red wine from Umbria with great personality. It is made from a blend of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot that are harvested separately to accommodate the different ripening levels of the grapes. The winemaking takes place in steel at controlled temperature with délestage in the initial phases to favor the extraction of coloring matter and the nobler components, followed by a long aging in large and small barrels. On the nose, it expresses intensity with red and black fruit in jam intertwined with sweet spices and slight balsamic sensations. The palate is full and compact with dense but balanced tannins. It pairs well with strangozzi with black truffle from Umbria and wild boar ragù.
