Rum "Ambassador Selection" is produced by the well-known Distilerias Unidas in Venezuela and represents one of the excellences of the Diplomatico brand. It is aged for 12 years in white oak barrels and then for a further 2 years in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, providing amazing toasty notes. The dark amber colour introduces aromas of dried fruit, candied orange, oriental spices but above all scents of tobacco and dark chocolate. The sip is deep, enveloping and long, definitely a cuddle for special occasions

“Ambassador Selection” Diplomatico is a Rum that originates from the most famous distillery in Venezuela, unanimously recognized as one of the best in the world. The history of Distilerias Unidas is closely linked to the Diplomatico brand, created towards the end of the nineteenth century and still today represents its emblem. The distillery is located in the area where the best sugar cane in Venezuela is produced. From its processing, the precious raw materials: an absolute excellence juice and molasses. At the end of the fermentation phase, distillation in column stills takes place. The rum is born from the blending of the best batches aged at least twelve years in American white oak. The aging process is completed with another two years in barrels previously used for aging Pedro Ximénez wine from Jerez de la Frontera.
