The Sauvignon 'Gennen' by Nals Margreid is a white wine of great tasting pleasure and intensity. A harmonious liquid that plays more on citrus notes and sensations of elderflower and touches of ginger. Fresh and markedly salty, it tells of deep and mineral gravelly soils

The Sauvignon “Gennen” is a wine from Alto Adige that, from the very first moments leading to the tasting, tells its story with a lively sip and a fresh structure, characteristics that make it perfect for pairing with various ingredients at the table. The savoriness felt in the mouth is a reminder of those territories dominated by gravel where the roots of the Sauvignon vines sink. A label signed by Nals Margreid that is thus capable of narrating not only all the grace of the type and the grape used but also and above all a perfect territorial adherence.

The “Gennen” is a pure Sauvignon that originates from the estate vineyards of the Nals Margreid winery located around the hamlet of Prissiano. Here, the subsoil is characterized mainly by the presence of gravel and limestone, which gives the soil a mineral component. The climate is mild and balanced throughout the year, perfect for cultivating Sauvignon. The bunches, after harvesting, are destemmed, and the berries are sent to the pressing phase. The must ferments in stainless steel containers, where it then matures for 6 months, until the bottling operations begin.

of stainless steel, where it then remains to mature for 6 months, until the bottling operations begin.

The “Gennen” Sauvignon presents itself visually with a straw yellow color, crossed by slight golden hues. The nose shows a fruity profile, which then gives way to more saline hints and varietal memories of tomato leaf. On the palate, it is light-bodied, balanced, with a sip characterized by a nice savoriness. A label with which the Nals Margreid winery ensures a sublime tasting pleasure both during the aperitif and throughout the meal, paired with vegetable or fish-based recipes.
