The Shiraz "The Verve" from the Australian winery Salomon Estate is a fresh and fruity red wine perfect for everyday meals and capable of conquering every palate. This label is made with pure grapes from the homonymous variety harvested from the Finniss River vineyard, located 50 kilometers south of Adelaide on the Fleurieu Peninsula, and the aging takes place in used oak barrels for 12 months. The ruby red color with violet reflections introduces aromas of red fruit and spices while the fresh and balanced sip refreshes the palate.

The Shiraz “The Verve” by Salomon originates from the south of Australia, specifically from the “Fleurieu Peninsula” about 45 minutes from the capital Adelaide. The winery has centuries-old origins: John Hinteroeker emigrated to Australia from Austria, settling in the village of Adelaide in the Norwood region, starting a family tradition in land and vine cultivation, a tradition that continues today with Bertold Salomon and his wife Gertrude passionately managing the winery, leaving as an inheritance to their children Fay Marie and Bert Michael the winery in Austria that produces great white wines.

The Shiraz and Mataro grapes of the Shiraz “The Verve” by Salomon are grown in vineyards located in Finnis River in the Fleurieu Peninsula. The climate in this area is characterized by significant temperature fluctuations, especially in summer, marked by scorching temperatures interspersed with milder ones thanks to the sea breeze due to the proximity to the Ocean. These fluctuations benefit the grapes, as they allow them to be able to release their best potential. The soil is composed of gravel, sand, and deposits of red and orange sandstone. After the harvest, a long fermentation and maceration of 42 days on the skins begins; it is aged in barrique for 12 months. Minimal addition of sulfur during bottling.

The Shiraz “The Verve” by Salomon presents itself in the glass as a crimson red with purple reflections. The nose is filled with intense and prolonged aromas of ripe red fruit; on the palate, mature tannins and notes of game are felt with a balanced and lively structure with a fresh finish. It pairs perfectly with traditional Australian meat dishes, but also with dishes seasoned with spices and aged cheeses for pleasant appetizers and end-of-meal moments. An excellent wine that accompanies convivial moments, but also winter evenings in front of the fireplace in the company of stimulating readings or good music in the background.
