Soave Classico 'Monte Alto' Ca' Rugate 2023

The Soave Classico Superiore Monte Alto belongs to the group of crus of Ca' Rugate, a historic company of the Tessari family, founded in the heart of Valpolicella, straddling Monteforte d'Alpone and Montecchia di Crosara, and a witness for over a century to viticulture closely linked to the traditions of the territory and local grape varieties. All the grapes from Ca' Rugate are vinified in the state-of-the-art winery in Montecchia di Crosara.

Spread over more than 4000 square meters and divided into 3 levels, the winery allows the company to concentrate all the processes of vinification, aging, bottling, and storage in one location. The owned vineyards, located on the Rugate hill that gives the company its name, are cultivated partly with the Veronese pergola system and partly with guyot. The main grape variety is Garganega, from which the celebrated Soave Classico is born. On the south-facing slopes, where grape cultivation finds particularly favorable conditions, the soil is basaltic and rich in clay and silt.
