The Sparkling Classic Method Brut by Pietro Torti is a sparkling wine from Lower Lombardy, an area where Pinot Noir is finding an ideal dimension. Crafted artisanally by the Torti winery, this brut ages for about 36 months on the fine lees, giving it aromaticity, structure, and a dry taste. On the nose, fruit and flowers are the main aromas, with hints of jasmine and citrus, while the sip is dry but creamy, the wine is pleasantly persistent and well-structured. To be tried with fried fish or traditional dishes, such as a risotto al salto or local cured meats.

The winery Pietro Torti presents its Sparkling Classic Method Brut, a bubbly produced in the Oltrepò Pavese that well expresses the fragrant and structured character of the sparkling wines produced here. The DOCG Oltrepò Pavese Metodo Classico was recognized in 2007, until that year it was part of the DOC Oltrepò Pavese. The principal grape variety of the denomination is Pinot Noir, whose minimum percentage of 70% grows up to 85% in the Oltrepò Pavese Metodo Classico Pinot Nero type. These sparkling wines are undoubtedly among the best Italian Metodo Classico, especially when it comes to those based on this black grape variety of Burgundian origin that is so appreciated in Champagne.

The Oltrepò Pavese Metodo Classico Pinot Nero Sparkling Brut Pietro Torti is made from a blend of Pinot Noir (85%) and Chardonnay (15%). The two varieties, planted in 2007, are cultivated according to the principles of certified organic farming on clayey-silty soils, at an altitude of 360 meters. The creation of the sparkling base starts with the harvesting of the grapes, the careful selection, and the subsequent gentle pressing, with the must then undergoing alcoholic fermentation in steel tanks through the action of only indigenous yeasts. The secondary fermentation takes place in the bottle according to the Classic Method, with at least 36 months of aging on the lees before disgorgement.

The Sparkling Classic Method Pietro Torti Brut has a straw yellow color with greenish reflections, with a soft and persistent foam. From the glass emerge fragrant aromas of white flowers, such as jasmine and lily of the valley, combined with hints of yellow plum and citrus, as well as mineral echoes. Dry and structured sip, with remarkable freshness and enveloping creaminess, with a savory and persistent finish.
