Testarossa' Rosato Pasetti 2024
Perfect to drink every dayThe Testarossa Rosato is a fresh and delicate expression of the Abruzzo territory, aged for a few months in steel. Juicy and fragrant notes of berries, cherry, and wild strawberry with mineral echoes anticipate a pleasant and very drinkable tasting, marked by a decisive freshness
The Testarossa Rosato is a daily wine joyful and extremely versatile on the everyday table. A jovial liquid, which makes the crispness of fruit and ease of drinking its strong points, the Testarossa Rosato by Pasetti once again testifies to the vocation of Montepulciano when vinified in rosé. The family estate, which today consists of about 70 hectares of vineyards, extends mostly in the heart of the Gran Sasso National Park, where among thermal excursions, native vines such as Montepulciano, Pecorino, Passerina, and Trebbiano find the ideal conditions to express themselves at their best. Awards and recognitions are the obvious consequence of serious and constant work, which has been ongoing for more generations.
The Rosato Testarossa comes from pure Montepulciano grapes, sourced from vineyards located about 400 meters above sea level and that extend at the foot of the Gran Sasso massif. The vineyards, all very young, are about 10 years old. After the harvest of the bunches and a careful selection, the grapes are taken to the winery for destemming and the subsequent cryomaceration that lasts about 6 hours.Fermentation takes place in steel containers and after a brief stop in the same container, the liquid is bottled and put on the market by February following the harvest.
The Testarossa Rosato wine presents itself in the glass with a brilliant and extremely lively cerasuolo color. The nose is immediately very fresh and spring-like, and reveals notes of cherry and berries, followed by a refreshing balsamic vein. The tasting reveals a lean and juicy liquid, driven by freshness and sapidity that constantly enliven the sip. Delicate floral hints of violet and dog rose peek through after swallowing. A convivial bottle, which for quality-price deserves more than one place in the cellar!
