Viognier Casale del Giglio 2025

The Viognier is an international profile white wine, with which the Casale del Giglio winery confirms its ability to interpret non-native grapes within the Lazio borders. It is a bottle in which the aromatic sweetness is perfectly balanced by an interesting freshness, making the sip balanced and harmonious. A label that, in addition to presenting interesting scores at the national level, also impresses with the price at which it is offered.

This Viognier originates from grapes carefully cultivated by Casale del Giglio, a production reality that loves to dedicate itself to the cultivation of international French grape varieties in the Lazio terroir. The bunches are harvested at two moments, both when ripeness is optimal, in order to preserve good acidity and the typical varietal notes detectable on the nose, and when they are very ripe. In the winery, cryomaceration lasts for 10 days and the must ferments in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature, without undergoing malolactic fermentation. The aging takes place in steel for a few months. During the spring following the harvest, the bottling and marketing operations are then carried out.

The Casale del Giglio Viognier presents itself to the visual examination with a straw yellow color, crossed by more golden veins. The fruit dominates the nose with even tropical scents, highlighting floral notes at the finish. On the palate, it is light-bodied, harmonious, with a fresh taste and a sip that flows pleasantly. A label perfect for both a full meal and for aperitif time: in both cases, it will not disappoint you.
