The Viognier 'Les Armandieres' is characterized as a balanced tasting bottle produced by Domaine Arsac in the Ardèche area according to a genuine production philosophy. This family-run winery was founded in 1945 by Gaston Arsac and is now led by his son Joёl along with his grandsons Dimitri and Sébastien. In addition to being fully certified organic, the estate adopts a series of sustainable practices, such as soil cover cropping and inter-row cultivation with the help of a horse, in order to preserve the soil structure. The name 'Les Armandieres' comes from French and means "the almond trees".
Domaine Arsac 'Les Armandieres' Viognier is a pure expression of the homonymous white grape variety cultivated under certified organic conditions. The grapes are hand-harvested with a meticulous selection both in the vineyard and in the winery and are then gently pressed. The must obtained is conveyed into stainless steel tanks where only the yeasts present on the grapes and in the winery environment carry out spontaneous alcoholic fermentation. After a few months of maturation in the same type of wine containers, bottling is finally carried out. The exclusive use of steel in winemaking helps to preserve the freshness of the wine while enhancing its varietal characteristics.
