Vouvray Petillant Naturel Domaine Sebastien Brunet 2022

The Vouvray Petillant Naturel from Domaine Sebastien Brunet is a sparkling wine from the Loire that stands out for its smooth and lively drinkability, with exceptional verticality. The history of this Domaine began in 2007, the year Sebastien took over his father's vineyards and purchased an ancient mushroom cellar from the 16th century formed by tuff galleries that he dedicated to aging his wines. Today, the estate can count on about fifteen hectares of vineyards located within the Vouvray denomination, dedicated almost exclusively to Chenin Blanc, the flagship variety of the area.

Domaine Sebastien Brunet Petillant Naturel Vouvray is a 100% Chenin Blanc grown on soils mainly composed of clay and flint. The vines are approximately 30 years old on average and are cultivated according to the principles of organic farming, without the use of pesticides and herbicides. The grapes are vinified in white through a soft pressing, with 80% of the must then directed into steel tanks and the remaining 20% in oak barrels of 225 liters, containers in which spontaneous alcoholic fermentation and a maturation phase of a few months take place. Subsequently, the blending of the masses is carried out, followed by a light sparkling in the bottle, where the wine remains to refine on the lees for about 12 months.

The color of the Vouvray Petillant Naturel from Domaine Sebastien Brunet is a slightly cloudy straw yellow. Intense and pronounced hints of white-fleshed fruit, flowers, citrus zest, and honey compose the olfactory range along with refined mineral notes. Balanced and easy to drink tasting, with a vibrant freshness and strong mineral imprint enhanced by the light effervescence.
