Carpineta Fontalpino is a winery nestled in the heart of Tuscany, a short distance from the picturesque city of Siena. Founded in 1967 by Italo Cresti, father of Filippo, Gioia, and Sara, this company has roots that trace back to the nineteenth century, when the winemaking tradition was beginning to flourish in the surrounding area. Located near the Montaperti hill, Carpineta Fontalpino is a landmark in the Chianti Classico landscape. The estate covers about 90 hectares, mainly cultivated with vines and Senatore Cappelli wheat, in the vicinity of Castelnuovo Berardenga. Here, among the Tuscan hills, organic wines are produced that continue the tradition and wine identity of the region.

The work in the vineyard and cellar at Carpineta Fontalpino reflects a production philosophy based on love for the land and respect for the environment. The lands are cultivated according to organic farming criteria, enhancing the natural characteristics of the soil and grapes. With a vineyard area of about 30 hectares, Carpineta Fontalpino hosts prestigious varieties such as Sangiovese, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon, as well as experimental grape varieties such as Petit Verdot and Alicante. Thanks to its eno-geographic border position, the company produces wines of different denominations, including Chianti Classico DOCG and Chianti Colli Senesi DOCG, as well as Supertuscan IGT. Every phase of the production process, from harvesting to aging, is meticulously followed to ensure the highest quality and authenticity of the wines, in a completely natural and sustainable manner.

Curiosity and tradition blend in the history of Carpineta Fontalpino, which takes its name from the land that hosts it. The estate is indeed surrounded by a "carpineta," a place of hornbeam trees, and by a centuries-old spring, once surrounded by pine trees, the "fonte-al-pino." Filippo and Gioia Cresti, along with Sara, passionately dedicate themselves to the family business, carrying on a tradition passed down by their parents. Gioia, the estate's winemaker, carefully oversees every stage of wine production, while Filippo takes care of marketing and communication. Sara, the youngest in the family, continues the tradition by studying oenology and welcoming visitors with warmth and hospitality. "Give, so that it may be given to me" is their motto, as well as the name of their most precious wine, a philosophy that has guided their work from the beginning, to keep their land ever more generous and surprising.
