The White "Abrunet" from the Celler Frisach winery is a fresh and authentic Spanish expression capable of taking us on a journey with just one sip. This label is made with pure Garnacha Blanca grapes vinified using only indigenous yeasts and aged in steel tanks for a few months. The pale yellow color with golden reflections lights up the glass while aromas of white and tropical fruit blend with hints of anise. The sip is fresh, agile, tasty, harmonious, and has good taste persistence. 

Celler Frisach presents the White ‘Abrunet’, a handcrafted expression of Garnacha Blanca in purity directly from Catalonia, characterized by a light and balanced taste progression. In the municipality of Corbera d’Ebre, in the province of Tarragona, brothers Francesc and Joan Ferré started the Celler Frisach project in 2009, gathering the family’s viticultural heritage, which boasts a history of 200 years. The goal has always been to pay homage to the work of their ancestors, as well as to enhance the area of Terra Alta and its vineyards. Among these is Garnacha Blanca, also found in the Southern Rhône under the name Grenache Blanc and genetically linked to the famous Garnacha Tinta, or Grenache.

‘Abrunet’ White Celler Frisach is made solely from Garnacha Blanca, grown organically on clay-limestone soils. The manual harvest occurs in two distinct moments on the same plants: the first harvest aims to bring grapes with high acidity to the winery and to enhance their aromas.fresher and citrusy, allowing for better maturation of the remaining bunches; the second harvest aims to obtain grapes with higher sugar content and greater structure. In the winery, alcoholic fermentation occurs spontaneously in steel tanks, where the mass also undergoes subsequent maturation for a few months. Throughout the entire processing, the liquid is neither clarified nor stabilized.

The White ‘Abrunet’ Celler Frisach is straw yellow in color with golden reflections. Full and broad is the olfactory spectrum, defined by aromas of white-fleshed fruit, anise, and tropical fruit. On the palate, it shows lightness and elegance, as well as great freshness and a medium persistence finish that lingers on fruity perceptions.
