Brunello di Montalcino Il Paradiso di Manfredi 2018
Artisanal
Rare wines
Perfect to give as a giftThe Brunello di Montalcino from Il Paradiso di Manfredi is one of the most authentic and, at the same time, original and unpredictable expressions of Montalcino. It is a great wine, complex and rich in fruit, produced without compromises and without additives, matured for 36 months in large oak barrels.
The Brunello di Montalcino from Paradiso di Manfredi is one of the most exciting reds of the denomination, capable of uniting its autumn essence with a vibrant energy. We do not exaggerate when we say that Paradiso di Manfredi is an iconic name for lovers of artisanal wines and beyond, thanks to liquids endowed with an irreplicable character and capable of virtuously defying time. Despite its acquired fame, Paradiso remains a true artisanal micro-production of just 2.4 hectares of vineyard and about 10,000 bottles produced, divided among various types, but sharing the original grape variety, namely Sangiovese, the undisputed local prince. Slow and careful gestures, aimed at following the rhythms of nature, with the sole purpose of accompanying it without overstepping, the same that accompany every step in the winery. It is difficult to describe rationally what are truly heartfelt wines, significant for those approaching them for the first time.
The Brunello di Montalcino wine is obtained as per the regulations from Sangiovese Grosso in purity, coming from 30-year-old vines trained to a double guyot system. In the vineyard the principles of biodynamics are followed, using copper, sulfur, and natural preparations, while excluding the use of any chemical or synthetic substances. In the winery, a slow spontaneous fermentation takes place in small concrete containers, without the liquid undergoing clarifications or filtrations. Aging for 36 months on the fine lees in large Slavonian oak barrels.
The Brunello Paradiso di Manfredi presents itself in the glass with a deep ruby color, which shifts towards garnet as the years go by. The nose is an emotional portrait of Montalcino in autumn, capable of merging visceral sensations of earth, dry leaves, and underbrush with clearer notes of ripe cherry, dog rose, and blood orange. Monumental tasting, which has the fabric of a champion and lingers in an endless finish. In the elite.
