It is a glass of extraordinary finesse, elegance, and aromatic complexity, a bright symbol of the best expression of Chardonnay and the extraordinary terroir of the Côte des Blancs. Chardonnay has always played a leading role in the cuvées of the Maison in Reims, which manages vineyards in the best areas of the region: Montagne de Reims, Côte des Blancs, Côte de Sézanne, Vallé de la Marne, and in the Aube.
It is a Blanc de Blancs of particular value, which is produced only in the best vintages, capable of expressing excellent grape quality. Due to its noble characteristics, it is still crafted today in the historic cellars of the Abbey of Saint-Nicaise in Reims. The Chardonnay used to create the cuvée comes from vines cultivated in the most famous crus of the Côte des Blancs. The gentle pressing of the grapes ensures the use of only the free-run juice and 5% of the base wines matures for 4 months in new oak barrels, to give richness and complexity to the final assemblage. After the secondary fermentation, the bottles rest in the ancient cellars of the Maison carved from chalk. A particularly long aging period, which gives the Chardonnay extraordinary maturity and a wide palette of scents and aromas.
