Château Cheval Blanc Premier Grand Cru is a red wine from a prestigious estate located in the municipal territory of Saint-Émilion, near the municipal border of Pomerol. This is one of the historically most renowned areas in the Bordeaux region for producing great red wines that are elegant, structured, and long-lived. The estate covers a total area of 39 hectares, divided into forty-five plots, each with unique and special characteristics. This variety allows for the creation of wines characterized by great harmony and balance. It is a label reserved for true Bordeaux wine enthusiasts, to be enjoyed on a special evening.
The Premier Grand Cru Château Cheval Blanc originates from a historic estate that has maintained the same appearance it had at the end of the 19th century. The vineyard area is practically the same, as is the decision to dedicate half of the vineyard to the cultivation of Cabernet Franc, the true identity grape of Cheval Blanc. This particularity defines the wine's aromatic profile, giving it a unique personality. The vines are cultivated on soils predominantly composed of clay and pebbles, with some veins of fine sands. The blend consists of 50% Cabernet Franc, 48% Merlot, and 2% Cabernet Sauvignon. Vinification is carried out separately for each variety, following the different harvest times of the grapes. At the end of the fermentation process, with a long maceration on the skins, the wine matures for 18 months in new French oak barrels and completes its aging in the bottle.
The Château Cheval Blanc Premier Grand Cru wine is a red of absolute excellence, which marvelously combines concentration, elegance, and finesse. It appears a rather dark red with bright highlights.
