The “Dragon” from the Vajra winery is a white wine from the Langhe, born from the desire to create a wine capable of synthesizing and expressing the authentic character of the territory. It is, in fact, a label that originates in the vineyard, where several historically present white grape varieties are cultivated together in Piemonte. The result is a balanced and harmonious blend, which skillfully combines the character of each grape in a completely complementary way. Fresh, fruity, and endowed with good aromatic complexity, it is a white that is already excellent to drink right away, but that does not fear maturing for a few years in the cellar. The name comes from the Dragon, a symbol of courage designed by Gianni Gallo.
The “Dragon” Vajra is a label that originates from a historic and prestigious winery in the Barolo area. It is in the heart of the Langhe that the Vajra family cultivates vineyards in some of the most highly regarded parcels of the denomination and produces high-quality wines, thanks to a continuous pursuit of excellence. To the historic core of the company, are added the prized vineyards of Luigi Baudana's estate in Serralunga d’Alba. The White “Dragon” sees the light precisely among the rows of Luigi Baudana's vineyards. At the end of the harvest, the grapes of the different varieties are gently pressed and the must is fermented in stainless steel tanks for about a couple of weeks. Before bottling, the wine matures for a few months in steel tanks.
