The Etna Bianco "Alta Mora" by Cusumano is a volcanic and mineral wine made from Carricante grown on the slopes of the volcano, vinified and aged in steel. It expresses olfactory tones of white fruit, flint, and aromatic herbs. The tasting confirms the smoky and mineral sensations, combined with beautiful freshness and minerality.

The wine Etna Bianco “Alta Mora” is a product whose class resides in the beautiful harmony found on the palate, where freshness and minerality unite in a sip of great charm. A label with which Cusumano, a major Sicilian production reality, confirms the goodness of the “Alta Mora” project, which led brothers Diego and Alberto to purchase, in 2013, the first three contrade on the northern slope of Etna. A high-level label, born from volcanic soils, carrying with it the strength of this wonderful part of Sicily.

The “Alta Mora” Etna Bianco is made from the grapes of a great indigenous white grape variety, Carricante. The vines of this variety are cultivated with a trellis, in vineyards located about 600 meters above sea level, in the surroundings of Milo and Castiglione di Sicilia. The terroir is characterized by a predominantly volcanic soil. The grapes, once harvested and brought to the facilities designated for winemaking, are gently pressed, and then undergo static decantation; the The alcoholic fermentation takes place in steel. The wine remains to mature in steel, on the fine lees, for about 4 months, until the bottling operations begin.

The Etna Bianco “Alta Mora” presents itself visually with a straw yellow color, crossed by flashes tending towards gold. The olfactory spectrum denotes sensations that are mainly mineral, enriched by hints of smokiness and aromatic herbs. On the palate, it is light-bodied, dynamic and easy-drinking, with a sip characterized by a savory trail, which continues into the finish, endowed with excellent persistence. The Cusumano winery, with this bottle, presents a Sicilian wine of great success, which has garnered excellent scores from both national and international critics.
