Etna Bianco 'Buonora' Tasca d'Almerita 2025
The Etna Bianco "Tascante Buonora" is a Sicilian white wine, born on the volcanic soils of the northern slope of Etna. It is characterized by rich notes of flowers and white fruit against a mineral background. The taste is delicate and refined, endowed with agile freshness.
The Etna Bianco "Buonora" from the Tenuta Tascante of Tasca d'Almerita is a label that represents the Etna terroir very well. As per tradition, it is strictly produced only with Carricante in purity, the ancient indigenous grape variety of Mongibello, characterized by a zesty citrus freshness, which combines with stony and mineral nuances typical of the lava flows where the vines are cultivated. It is an extreme wine, born from a unique environment in the world, which unites the warmth of the Mediterranean with the altitude of the mountain. A savory, fresh, and marine white, with great expressive finesse, ideal to enjoy with a seafood menu.
“Buonora” is an Etna Bianco from Tasca d'Almerita, one of the most important brands of Sicilian wine, which has properties in various areas of the island. For several years it has also landed on Etna, where it created the Tenuta Tascante, to enrich its range of labels. The Carricante grapes come from two different areas of the Volcano: from Contrada Feudo on the northern slope, in the municipality of Castiglione di Sicily and from Contrada Salice, on the eastern slope, in the municipality of Milo. The vines are cultivated on terraces with dry stone walls at an altitude of about 600 meters above sea level. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 16-18 °C and before bottling, the wine matures in steel tanks for four months.
The Etna Bianco "Buonora" from Tasca d'Almerita, produced in the Tenuta Tascante, is a perfect synthesis of the centuries-old interaction between an indigenous grape variety of the territory, volcanic soils, and the particularly cool climate of a volcano located in the heart of the Mediterranean. In the glass, it presents a bright and luminous light yellow color. The aromatic profile is elegant and sharp, with aromas of lemon zest, citrus fragrances, cartucciaro melon, white-fleshed fruit, nuances of orange blossom, and light hints of flint. The sip is tense and vertical, characterized by a citrus and saline momentum, which rushes impetuously towards a finish of vibrant mineral freshness. A bottle of great character, which perfectly expresses the classic style of Etna whites.
