The Fiano “Janare” from the La Guardiense winery is a light, fresh, and immediate expression of the Sannio Beneventano, a white wine vinified only in steel to pair with delicate Mediterranean fish dishes. Pleasant and delicate aromas of flowers, white fruit, citrus, and aromatic herbs accompany a slender, fresh, and easy-drinking sip.
The Fiano "Janare" is a vivid expression of the terroir of Sannio Beneventano, masterfully interpreted by the cooperative La Guardiense, a productive reality that today counts on more than 1000 winegrower members. A straightforward and direct bottle, that is understood after just a few sips, thanks to a simple profile that makes freshness and sapidity the elements that keep the palate light. On the nose, the typical floral and fruity aromas of the varietal emerge, that Fiano which is so well found in Campania. The ideal label for all seasons.
This white wine "Janare" is a Fiano that originates from grapes cultivated with the guyot system, which grow in vineyards located at an altitude between 300 and 400 meters above sea level. We are within the area of Sannio Beneventano, in a calcareous and clayey soil. After a very brief cryomaceration, soft pressing of the grapes is carried out and the must ferments in stainless steel containers at controlled temperature. The wine remains in steel
then matures for a few months, until the La Guardiense winery deems it ready to be bottled and marketed.The Fiano "Janare" produced by the La Guardiense winery presents itself to the eye with a straw yellow color, crossed by reflections tending more towards greenish visible at the rim. On the nose, a subtle initial floral note is perceived, later enriched by citrus touches and hints of aromatic herbs. On the palate, it is light-bodied, expressive, and easy to drink thanks to a pleasantly mineral sip, making the drinking a repeated gesture. A very versatile bottle in the kitchen, perfect both to uncork at aperitif time and to accompany the entire meal, paired with a fish fry!
