The Franciacorta Brut Vintage is born from the ingenuity of owner Vittorio Moretti and the skilled hand of winemaker Mattia Vezzola. The Vintage Brut Franciacorta is made from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes from the same vintage, grown on high hills with a South/Southeast exposure from vines older than 25 years. A portion of the must ferments in small barrels of white oak for about 7 months, while the remaining in steel. The second fermentation takes place in the bottle according to the Classic Method and the aging on the lees lasts 36 months, the time necessary for the yeasts to return everything they have "consumed." This is followed by disgorgement and closure with the classic cork and metal cage.
