The Grechetto produced by the Antonelli San Marco winery is a white wine from Montefalco that captivates with its fruity and soft profile. The bouquet recalls notes of exotic fruit, white-fleshed fruit, vegetal hints, mineral bursts, and almond echoes. On the palate, it is flavorful, satisfying, and enveloping, with good freshness and a savory background.

The Grechetto from the Antonelli San Marco winery is produced entirely with this white grape variety that has become the most widely cultivated and processed in Umbria. We find ourselves in the heart of the Montefalco area, and the historic company has, for several years now, adopted a working method that aims primarily to bring only the characteristics of the territory and the grape variety into the bottle. The delicate extractions, along with a moderate use of wood and the principles of organic farming as a backdrop, allow one to enjoy a white wine in the glass with a pleasantly fruity and soft character.

Antonelli San Marco Grechetto begins its story in the third week of September with a harvest done exclusively by hand. Once the bunches are brought to the winery, they are softly pressed, and fermentation is awaited inside steel tanks at a temperature of 18°C. The process concludes with aging in tank in contact with the fermentation lees for about three months, a period similar to the rest that the wine will spend in the bottle before being put on the market.

The Grechetto Antonelli San Marco colors the glass with a strong straw yellow, an intensity that is then confirmed by the olfactory profile. Pineapple and citrus notes surround aromas that bring to mind the almond tree and hawthorn, protagonists within a seductive mineral context. Brought to the mouth, one is immediately struck by a clear but never tiring sapidity capable of making the sip clean yet enveloping and of good persistence. This interpretation of Grechetto is ideal when paired with dishes of good flavor intensity such as rustic pies or legume and cereal soups, it can also proudly take center stage in an aperitif based on cold cuts and fresh cheeses.
