"La Manina" by Manincor is an Alto Adige wine that expresses the true essence and authentic personality of the production areas. It is, in fact, a blend of three international varieties cultivated for centuries in the region, which, thanks to their complementary character, provide a pleasantly harmonious tasting experience. Pinot Bianco, Chardonnay, and Sauvignon Blanc are the protagonists of this cuvée produced in the hilly area near Lake Caldaro, which captivates with delicate aromas, fruity notes, expressing great balance and the fresh and mineral character typical of mountain wines.
The white "La Manina" is born in one of the oldest realities of Alto Adige. The Manincor estate was established in 1608 and has been involved in viticulture in the Lake Caldaro area for over 400 years. Today, it manages about fifty hectares cultivated under organic and biodynamic farming, aiming to prioritize the purity and expressive integrity of the grapes. Pinot Bianco and Chardonnay come from the Mareit vineyard in Caldaro, while the Sauvignon Blanc grapes come from the Datumhof plots in Settquerce. At the end of the harvest, the bunches are destemmed and subjected to cold maceration for 6 hours before proceeding to soft pressing. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, spontaneously and with indigenous yeasts. Before bottling, the wine rests on the lees for six months in stainless steel tanks.
The wine "La Manina" is part of the Mano line of the Manincor winery, a selection of labels dedicated to those who love young and fresh, pleasantly fruity versions. The refined elegance of Pinot Bianco pairs very well with the richness of Chardonnay and the aromatic freshness of Sauvignon Blanc, creating a white with interesting facets, which presents itself with a light straw yellow color, with slight greenish reflections. The richness of the aromas is expressed with notes of citrus, grapefruit, white-fleshed fruit, tropical hints, and mountain balsamic herbs. The sip is delicate and savory, with a finish characterized by good mineral freshness. A label not to be missed, also for a truly exceptional quality price ratio.truly exceptional quality price ratio.
