The Lugana "I Frati" is the flagship of the Ca' dei Frati winery. Fully expressive of the characteristics of Turbiana, it presents a fresh, delicate, and elegant personality when young, allowing for more complex and evolved characteristics over the years, when the notes of green apple and white flowers give way to nuances of apricot and almond, with a pronounced mineral finish.

The Lugana "I Frati" from Ca' dei Frati is the symbol of the winery located by Lake Garda. A wine with two faces: it is appreciated from a young age for its freshness and simplicity, but it also expresses its best after years of bottling, reaching a perfect degree of maturation. With this expression, the renowned winery wants to tell its story and its connection to local varieties. Thus, “I Frati” is the most representative image of the Lake, it is the pride of the house because Ca’ dei Frati has managed to make one of the least famous grapes in Italy known and appreciated worldwide, with a strong territorial imprint, the Turbiana, also known as Trebbiano di Lugana.

Lugana Ca’ dei Frati comes from the terroir and the vines, which can be up to 40 years old, planted in the lower Garda area, on calcareous and clayey soils caressed by an ideal microclimate. The cuvée comes from a careful selection of grapes from various parcels that, once fermented in steel, and after completing 80% of the malolactic fermentation, will be blended to give the final wine its characteristic identity; the aging is 6 months in steel with the presence of fine yeasts. Its journey ends with further aging in bottle for another 6 months.

The wine Lugana "I Frati" is a varietal white, with a straw yellow color. Pleasant and able to satisfy immediate desires for freshness and lightness, but also the needs of those looking for an elegant white that can wait a few months in the cellar. When young, it tickles the nose with fragrant floral aromas of white flowers and fruity notes of apple, plum, and citrus framed by a mineral breath. As time goes by, it enriches with iodized hints, tertiary notes, spices, and candied fruit. On the palate, it is fresh, direct, and fine, accompanied by a pleasant savory note. Only the evolution will bring out more mineral and balsamic sensations, highlighting a good structure and a full, pleasant body. A wine versatile, but full of passion. To be enjoyed with grilled lake fish accompanied by vegetable side dishes, with lightly seasoned fish soups or Margherita pizza.
