The 'Men in Bret' from the Bret Brothers winery is a fresh and vibrant red wine, capable of bringing an immediate smile thanks to its appealing label and a full, juicy, and decidedly inviting sip. After spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts, it ages for 9 months in oak barrels, acquiring soft spicy notes that embrace its intense aromas of red fruit, cherry, and plum. A true and genuine wine, born from the passion of three brothers who have been making their mark in the world of great Burgundy wines since 2001.

The Red ‘Men in Bret’ from the French maison de négoce Bret Brothers is characterized as an agile and juicy Gamay, the result of a sustainable and artisanal production vision. It is a Beaujolais made from grapes from various villages in this area of the extreme south of Burgundy, once renowned for its simple new wines known as “Beaujolais nouveau” but now in the spotlight thanks to structured and crisp reds, with remarkable complexity and character. The name and the charming illustration on the label are an ironic reference to the famous film saga of Men in Black.

Bret Brothers Red ‘Men in Bret’ is a 100% Gamay from grapes grown in accordance with the principles of certified organic farming within different municipalities of the Beaujolais area. In the winery, the bunches are hand-picked and are fermented in steel tanks without destemming and crushing, where they undergo semi-carbonic maceration and spontaneous alcoholic fermentation thanks to the presence of indigenous yeasts. The subsequent aging of 9 months takes place in oak barrels and precedes bottling and a further brief resting in glass.

The Gamay Rosso ‘Men in Bret’ by Bret Brothers has an intense ruby red color. From the glass emerge fragrant and intense aromas of cherry, ripe plum, and violet, with pleasant spicy nuances in the background. The tasting, full, rich, and lively, reveals juicy freshness and soft tannins, as well as a slender distinctly fruity finish. A Gamay from Beaujolais characterized by excellent versatility in food-wine pairing as it can be successfully paired with medium-aged cheeses and cold cuts, various meat preparations, or flavorful earthy first courses.
