Moscato Giallo Passito 'Baronesse - Baron Salvadori' Nals Margreid 202
The Passito "Baronesse" is a rich and creamy sweet wine from Alto Adige made from aromatic Moscato Giallo grapes, vinified and aged for 12 months in oak barrels. It is characterized by exuberant aromas of dehydrated and syrupy yellow fruit, honey, and candied citrus. The sip is soft and sweet, with citrus freshness
The Passito "Baronesse - Baron Salvadori" by Nals Margreid is made from Moscato Giallo grapes grown in a highly suitable terroir. The gravel and limestone substrate is indeed perfect for enhancing the aromaticity of the varietal, elegantly presenting a complexity of aromas on the nose that then melt on the palate, in a slow and concentrated tasting finish. A label that tells the story of one of the quality peaks reached by the winery through this passito with a sweet heart, but not cloying, supported by a vibrant freshness.
The "Baronesse - Baron Salvadori" is made from pure Moscato Giallo grapes, grown in vineyards located near Magrè, more precisely in Entiklar, a terroir characterized by a subsoil predominantly composed of limestone and gravel. The harvest is postponed and takes place towards the end of October. The bunches are then allowed to dry on racks, before being destemmed. The must obtained from the gentle pressing of the berries ferments in wooden barrels. The final aging lasts for a duration of 12 months and takes place in tonneau; at the end of this period, the wine is ready to be bottled and put on the market.
The Moscato Giallo Passito "Baronesse - Baron Salvadori" signed by Nals Margreid presents itself to the eye with a very bright golden yellow color. Generous and complex on the nose, it moves on notes of dried and well-ripened fruit, skillfully developing with a thousand different nuances, always focused, before shifting towards tones of sweet spices and honey. On the palate, it is full-bodied, almost tactile, with a sweet sip in which freshness and savoriness contribute to creating a elegant drink that is never monotonous. A fantastic Passito when paired with desserts or with a selection of blue cheeses.
