The Munjebel FM is a great Sicilian expression of Nerello Mascalese, grown in the Feudo di Mezzo area on the northern slopes of Etna. Intense fruity aromas open up to spicier and mineral tones. On the palate, it showcases power and complexity with grace and class, revealing a good contribution of minerality and salt.

The Munjebel Rosso FM Feudo di Mezzo by Frank Cornelissen is an unmistakable expression of the territorial reality of Etna. It is obtained from the Nerello Mascalese grape of the Sottana cru, located at 600 meters above sea level in the Feudo di Mezzo district. The vines of this subzone, with over 40 years of history, sink their roots into the volcanic soil, giving rise to this Sicilian excellence, which in recent years has found much success in the wine world.

Frank Cornelissen has a unique relationship with the volcano, the result of sensitivity and meticulous care for his land. The producer wants his wines to reflect the "Mountain", as Etna is called by the local citizens. The Belgian renounces any chemical treatment and lets nature grow lush and undisturbed. The harmony between man and nature is the foundation of his choices and his philosophy of life. The Munjebel Feudo di Mezzo undergoes a long contact with the skins for 60 days until the completion of malolactic fermentation. No exogenous substances are added to the must, nor is sulfur tolerated in any process. No clarification or filtration, only love and passion.

The Munjebel Feudo di Mezzo presents itself with a concentrated red color like cherry juice. The aromas range from more fruity notes of blackberry with a juicy and sugary taste to more bitter tones of dark chocolate. The root of licorice closes the olfactory frame. There is a strong correlation between nose and mouth: minerality, freshness, and tannin support a harmonious, pure, and defined body. The Munjebel is a neat, elegant, and original wine that captivates from the first sip.
