The Rosato 448 slm by Girlan is a rosé wine with an excellent quality/price ratio, characterized by pleasant and delicate fragrances of berries and strawberries. On the palate it is fresh, light and smooth, with excellent balance.

The Rosato ‘448 m.a.s.l.’ from the Alto Adige winery Girlan is characterized as an accessible and pleasant drink crafted through a blend of red grapes. The name of this label indicates the altitude at which the historic estate of Girlan is located. It is in this estate, dating back to the 16th century, that in 1923 the estate saw its beginnings thanks to 23 winemakers who decided to join forces to create a quality production. Today, the winery has grown to include 200 member winemakers, engaged in the cultivation of 220 hectares of vineyards spread across the best production areas of Oltradige and Bassa Atesina.

Girlan ‘448 m.a.s.l.’ Rosato is made from a blend of Lagrein, Pinot Noir, and Schiava, grape varieties grown on sandy soils of sedimentary-glacial origin, particularly rich in minerals. The harvest is carried out manually in small crates, and the grapes are partially destemmed followed by 12 hours of skin maceration and partially subjected to the saignée technique, with the extraction of a portion of must during maceration. Fermentations take place in stainless steel tanks and after blending, the mass rests for about 5 months still in steel before the final bottling.

The '448 s.l.m.' Rosé by Girlan is an intense and bright pink color. On the nose, it expresses crisp notes of wild strawberry and berries, followed by pleasant and fresh floral and mineral hints. On the palate, it is delicate, light, and refreshing, with a savory and pleasantly aromatic finish consistent with the olfactory perceptions. The producer himself recommends pairing the '448 s.l.m.' Rosé with Mediterranean cuisine or with platters of cold cuts and lightly aged cheeses.
